Whats the deal with Tongue Cleaners?

Ah the lesser known of the dental apparatus. 

Because is isn’t really about cleaning your teeth at all, the tongue cleaner cleanses and cleans your tongue and therefore, can have an impact on your entire oral health.

Using a Tongue Cleaner can remove dead cells, bacteria and debris from the tongue that would otherwise be left there as we have all been taught to worry about the teeth and gums.  Our tongue health is often skirted over or not mentioned at all.

Don’t get me wrong, cleaning your teeth is the most important but when you are trying to follow a more natural path with your dental health, tongue cleaning is an important part of your dental routine.

Using a tongue cleaner can help get rid of bad breath and with careful management, regular flossing and cleaning, tongue cleaning can also help get rid of halitosis.

Morning and evening (usually before bed)

1. Floss, carefully.

2. Clean your teeth with your toothbrush and toothpaste.

3. Use our Tongue Cleaner in soft yet firm motions up to 10 times from the back of the tongue to the front (don’t go too far back or you’ll make yourself ill).

5. Finish off with a mouthwash.

Simple right?  yet it’s amazing how many people only brush there teeth and leave the rest then wonder why their oral health isn’t tip top!

Tongue cleaning will also improve your sense of taste, the appearance of your tongue, improve overall health helping prevent gum disease and cavities as well as removing bacteria.
